Fuyu persimmon
Share
hello.
It's cold today, in stark contrast to last week!
You'll need a heater like a kotatsu.
When you think of kotatsu, you think of mandarin oranges, but persimmons are good too!
This time, we will introduce the most delicious Fuyu persimmons available right now.
Nara Prefecture is home to the Fuyu persimmons of Nishiyoshino. Nara Prefecture has the largest area of cultivation for Fuyu persimmons.
In second place is Gifu Prefecture with approximately 465 hectares, and in third place is Wakayama Prefecture with approximately 411 hectares.
The fruit is square, almost round, and the skin is smooth and shiny.
The color and shape vary slightly depending on the place of origin, and those from Fukuoka Prefecture tend to be deep red and tall.
Those from Gifu Prefecture, for example, tend to have a stronger orange color and are relatively flat.
In any case, the flesh is delicate and melt-in-your-mouth soft, and is characterized by its sweetness and juiciness.
